| Walk and Bike Month 2008 a Success |

What an incredible Walk & Bike Month! Many thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers and the over 7,500 people and 264 companies who registered for Bike to Work Day! (This compares with 5,100 people and 156 companies in 2007.) All this would not be possible without the support of the City of Boulder and the generous sponsors of Walk & Bike Month. A special thanks also goes to all the businesses and community groups that participated in BINGO!, Park(ing) Spaces, hosted a breakfast station or hosted a Walk & Bike Month event. We heard a lot of stories this month, people who chose to find other ways to get to work, play or shopping. People who chose to give up a car and become a one-car family. For those who participated in Walk & Bike Month BINGO!, check the GO Boulder web site - GOBoulder.net - AFTER July 15th to see if you won a prize. Prizes can be picked up at the GO Boulder offices (1739 Broadway, 2nd floor) until September 12, 2008. Remember to keep walking and riding your bike.
