June 2: Fleet Feet - Nordic Walking Class
Fleet Feet - 2624 Broadway Av.; 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Come to Fleet Feet to learn about Nordic Walking with Poles! Anyone, in any shape and at any age, can benefit from Nordic Walking! It is great for cross-training, decreasing muscular imbalances, and strengthening the whole body and cardiovascular system. Going Car-Free Workshop

In this workshop, we'll get started by discussing the reasons why it makes sense to go car-free, including saving money, improving personal health, discovering the social effects of an "out-of-car experience", enjoying being outside, and reducing our environmental impact. Elevations and Community Cycles - Bicycle Recycling Drive & Celebration Event

Join Elevations Credit Union in creating a culture of cycling and support local non-profit Community Cycles.
The tax-deductible donation of your bicycle or parts will be matched with a cash donation from Elevations. Celebrate the success of this campaign by joining us for a June 2nd celebration event at Community Cycles with DJs, food, and fun. June 3: B-360 - Fifteenth Annual Circle Boulder by Bicycle   
Scott Carpenter Park; 3 p.m.

Rain or shine, the City of Boulder Utilities Division’s Greenways Program will host its 15th Annual Circle Boulder by Bicycle, B-360 or B-180 self-guided ride.  This non-competitive ride follows the city’s bikeways beginning and ending at Scott Carpenter Park, 30th Street and Arapahoe Avenue, and is open to all ages.

Wildflowers of Goshawk Ridge
8 am – 12 pm

The Goshawk Ridge trail winds through one of the most beautiful and pristine parts of OSMP. Its pine forests and lush, wet meadows are thick with wildflowers and a haven for wildlife. Explore this new trail with naturalist Dave Sutherland. Due to sensitivity of the habitat, space is limited to 15. Meet at the shuffleboard courts behind the New Britain Building (1101 Arapahoe Av.); Noon

GO Boulder's popular walking program for City employees, is open to the public during Walk & Bike Month. Walks combine fitness, networking, and transportation option awareness. All walks begin at the shuffleboard courts behind the New Britain Building, 1101 Arapahoe Ave.  This is near the pedestrian bridge over Boulder Creek, just west of Broadway. Each walk lasts between 30 and 40 minutes. You can always turn around sooner to accommodate your schedule. All walks subject to change depending upon weather conditions.

Walking Tours of the Historic University Hill Neighborhood
Meet at Boulder History Museum, 1206 Euclid Avenue; 5:30 p.m
Join Carol Taylor of the Boulder History Museum for a leisurely one hour walk that highlights some of the fascinating structures, events and personalities in the history of ‘The Hill.’  Free, $5 donation welcome!  All ages. Rain or shine. More info: 303-449-3464.

June 7: Betasso Canyon Trail
5 - 8 p.m.
This beginner friendly, no drop ride heads up the Canyon to the Betasso Canyon Loop Trail. Entry level riders will meet at the Betasso trail head, more experienced riders will depart from the Justice Center on Canyon to ride up the connector trail. If you plan to ride the connector trail, be aware the trail is steep/loose in some sections. This section of trail is considered intermediate/advanced, although the Betasso loop at the top is a beginner/intermediate trail. This series of events organized by the nonprofit team-up will extend through the end of June at this location. The event, inspired by a similar event in Portland, Oregon called "Breakfast on the Bridges" is a simple gesture to thank and encourage bike commuters for riding their bikes. Pastries, Bagels and Cake (cake for breakfast!?), are rescued Thursday night from area bakeries' surpluses, and coffee is provided by Conscious Coffee roasters.

June 14: Walker Ranch BMA Ride
5-9 p.m.
This week we will take advantage of the long days and ride at Walker Ranch. For this ride there will be an option to break into two groups, one intermediate level group for an out and back to the top of the rocks, finishing by about 8:15. The other more advanced group, those of you with experience riding Walker and feeling zesty, will make its way around the entire 8 mile loop. Don't let distances deceive you; this trail will take a fast moving group until almost dark to complete without any mechanicals! June 21: Boulder B-cycle Summer Solstice Ride
5:32 am – 8:32 pm
Celebrate the longest day of 2012 by riding to every Boulder B-cycle station! Those who ride the entire system on June 21st will be eligible to win prizes, with a special drawing for riders who reach each station in both the Denver and Boulder systems. Depending on your route this accomplishment may take 1.5-3 hours, although most of the riding is relatively flat. Please notify Boulder B-cycle by the end of June 21st if you intend to ride to each station by writing to B-cycle and stay tuned to Boulder B-cycle for updates during Walk and Bike Month!

Visit “Park(ing) Spaces” all over town where businesses adopt a parking space and convert it into a “park” for one day by setting up grass, flowers, trees, chairs, etc in the parking spot.

June 24: Bats Over Boulder!
7-10 p.m.

Bats swirling overhead create the backdrop for an exploration of bat ecology in the foothills of Boulder.  Join Ranger Naturalist Burton Stoner on a moderate night hike to Bear Pool to experience these amazing mammals.  Be prepared for night hiking. Eleventh Annual Great 55th Street Egg-less Relay    
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Proving that alternative transportation can be cost efficient, convenient . . . and fun, we invite you to join us for The ELEVENTH Annual Great 55th Street Egg-less Relay hosted by Boulder East Community Transportation Options.  Each participant balances an egg in a spoon, held from their mouth, while negotiating an obstacle course for the coveted Boulder East Great 55th Street Egg Relay Trophy.  Awards for the fastest and most spirited teams (costumes encouraged!) including FREE lunch! Boulder Rec Center via a circuitous route, arriving at Martin Park (near Broadway & Table Mesa) around 8:30AM for a free Walk & Bike Month breakfast courtesy of Peak Form Physical Therapy, who have sponsored the breakfast.
