Lennard Zinn at Community Cycles April 2nd

More about Lennard Zinn

Zinn expressed his passion for the outdoors as a youth in New Mexico, enjoying countless outdoor activities. He depended on his bicycle for transportation. He was drawn to mechanical contraptions and began not only tearing apart pre-built items, but building his own. By the time Zinn graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, he had become one of the top bike racers in Colorado.

Zinn’s racing accomplishments caught the attention of the National Cycling Team head coach Eddie Borysewicz, who named Zinn to the United States Olympic Development Team and invited him to live at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. While living there, Zinn worked at the physics department of Colorado College and built the first Zinn custom bicycle frame for his future wife.

Zinn now owns and operates Zinn Cycles in Boulder and continues to build custom titanium, magnesium and steel road bikes; aluminum full-suspension mountain bikes; and titanium and steel hard-tail mountain bikes. Zinn is also known for building custom bikes for tall riders. He has written several articles for VeloNews, the journal of bike racing in North America, and has written several books that are depended on by bike enthusiasts and mechanics across the country.
