Creating equitable access to bicycles for a thriving Boulder community
We’re making bicycling a truly sustainable, equitable, and affordable means of everyday transportation. We’re dedicated to overcoming the barriers that prevent people from riding and making it a natural choice for getting around. Everyone deserves the freedom, joy and connection that comes from cycling.
Used Bikes
We sell unique bikes, all donation based. Bikes are refurbished from worn out and tired to ready for anything. Professional mechanics refurbish every bike - some rides need just a few adjustments to be good as new and some get a full host of upgrades.
Workshops
Join the fun at a Community Cycles workshop and learn your bike in a welcoming environment. Boost your confidence with hand-on skills in classes that range from Maintenance 101 to our premiere multi-session Complete Mechanics Series.
We Are Your Cycling Advocate in Boulder County
Community Cycles works with all branches of government, local businesses and neighborhood organizations to advocate for improved active transportation infrastructure & policy.
Please join your voice with ours. Let's ride towards a safer and more connected future for all.

Bike for a Better World
Our goal of making biking an everyday act for more people will change the world and have a positive impact on the environment: lower carbon footprints and better air quality.
As a nonprofit, we strive to be a part of the circular economy with the business practices at our Shop. Our work happens from the wheels up: we start with refurbishing bikes that make safe, high-quality bikes accessible. We also sell used bike parts, tools and clothing that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Through this work, thousands of pounds of rubber, plastic and metal are recycled.
Outside of our bike shop, we support decarbonization by keeping people riding bikes through bike maintenance education, affordable bikes and parts, and advocating for safety. Community members will feel capable, safe and have the choice to ride a bicycle for everyday transportation.
Do your part to help us build this community. Please consider donating your time, your old/unwanted bikes, or bike-related parts and accessories.
If you would like to become more deeply involved, please come by the shop and say hello! And then we can discuss the ways you might help create a culture of cycling alongside us.
