Home Programs Earn-A-Bike Work Release
CC helps in the Boulder County Jails' work release program obtain bicycles for transportation.

Through Boulder County Sheriff's transitional Work Release program, inmates serve an alternative sentence which requires they find steady employment within two weeks of starting the program. The program requires inmates have or acquire dependable transportation in order to meet their strict schedule of job interviews, appointments and eventually, gainful employment.

During their first few days in the program, Work release inmates get the opportunity to participate in the Earn-A-Bike program at Community Cycles.  After 15 hours of shop time, inmates ride away with free, reliable transportation to help their transition back to civilian life.
