bike workshops

Workshops are $20 for non-members, $10 for members and some are free! They are on a variety of topics from drivetrain cleaning, wheel truing, and brakes to bike touring, winter cycling, and traffic skills.

If you're looking to learn more about bike maintenance, this is a great place to start. It's also a good way for novice volunteers to build up their skills and members to get more out of their membership with Community Cycles.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Work-trade is available for our classes and workshops, but must be set up in advance with the Shop Manager.

Students are encouraged to bring their own bike to workshops.  Some of the classes include replacing parts which will be an additional fee of $2.50 per cable, $2.00 per foot of housing, $10-15 for handlebar tape/grips and other associated costs with material repairs.  If you show up without a bike, we have plenty of bikes in house you can work on for no additional parts cost to you.
