DESCRIPTION:Introduction to eBike Safety and Maintenance @ Community Cycles\nIntroduction to eBike Safety and Maintenance is a free, hands-on, and interactive course offered through a partnership between Small Planet Ebikes ( https://www.smallplanetebikes.com/ ) and Community Cycles ( https://communitycycles.org/ ). In this class, experienced (and fun!) eBike mechanics will introduce new and prospective eBike owners to eBike systems (how eBikes work), eBike regulations, battery safety, best practices for eBike and battery maintenance, and riding practices specific to eBikes. Students should leave this class feeling confident about using and maintaining their new eBikes, and ready to take advantage of all the ways eBikes improve the well-being of not only individual owners but also the community.\nThere are no knowledge prerequisites for this course. Having a basic understanding of bicycle terminology is great, but not necessary: everyone is welcome in this class. We want to spread the joy of e-cycling!\nWe encourage students to bring their own eBikes to the class but do not feel that you must already own an eBike to attend. However, do remember that this class is not about eBike purchasing. For more information about eBike purchasing, see the linked resources below.*\nSpace in this class is limited.
