We recycle, refurbish, re-use 2,500 bikes each year!
• Since 2005, Community Cycles has collected, refurbished, and restored more than 25,000 bikes, restoring them to active use in our community.
• The Earn-A-Bike program has put 3,000 low-income people on bikes since its inception in 2008.
• Annually, our non-profit retail shop sells 1,500 affordable, refurbished bikes to our community, while also providing commuter accessories such as lights, trailers, panniers, and locks.
• We conduct weekly community cycling workshops, focusing on bike commuting, bike maintenance and repair, and safe cycling skills, reaching over 1,000 people every year.

There’s nothing like seeing a kid get her first bike!
• Our Kids’ Holiday Bike Giveaway gifts bicycles during the winter holidays; we’ve served over 2,500 children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy bicycling.
• We’ve served hundreds of our low-income and Spanish-speaking neighbors with bike care and repair services and safe bike-riding instruction through our Rolling Bike Clinics.
• We assist local businesses in becoming more bike friendly, have conducted dozens of workshops for bike commuters, and installed over 150 bike parking racks at local companies and retail facilities.
• Our members, volunteers, and program participants log over twelve thousand shop-hours per year building re-usable bicycles, repairing bikes that would otherwise end up in the landfill.

Our volunteers dedicate thousands of hours every year!
• We advocate for bicyclists with City and County agencies, working to complete the Boulder bikeway system, link communities through a regional trail network, and support cycling at all levels of transportation infrastructure, public transit, and urban planning. Through our work, over 10 miles of important local and regional bikeway connections have been made, and long-term funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects has been secured.

Over 8,500 people hit the road for the June 2016 Bike to Work Day!
• We coordinate Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month and Bike to Work Day, impacting over 10,000 area residents each year with this community-wide celebration that encourages commuter cycling .
• Our Advocacy Committee’s “State of the System” reports highlight the most urgent needs for bike lane and bike path maintenance to increase cyclist safety and path rideability. By prioritizing projects with the greatest impact for the cycling community, our input has significantly increased cyclist safety and the City’s return on its investment.
