Join us for a great week of kids summer bike camp! Register today.
In these one-week bike camps, kids learn:
- principles of safe riding,
- basic bike mechanics,
- navigation, using bike maps, google maps, and apps, and
- Boulder’s bike paths, through field trips with fun stops along the way.
Older students taking the second week of bike camp (July 31 – Aug 4) will learn comprehensive bicycle mechanic skills. Past students have started their own bike repair businesses, and gotten jobs in bike shops! During this week, we will take long rides for enjoyment, strength, and health, culminating in a 14-mile route (or longer, depending on the group).
Low student-to-instructor ratios ensure maximum learning, safety, and fun!
Kids Summer Bike Camp Activities
Each day begins with stretching and a team-building exercise. Campers will then learn and practice basic bike mechanic skills in a safe environment under the guidance of a professional mechanic.
Campers will go on field trips to fun destinations, practicing navigational and safe-riding skills along the way. Nature walks, frisbee games, and rides at Valmont Bike Park are all on the menu.
One of our top goals is to give participants the skills and practice they need to safely get around Boulder via bike.

Kids Bike Safety Requirements
All participants need a bicycles and must bring helmets, SPF 30 sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sack lunch. Campers must wear closed-toe shoes. As we learn bicycle mechanics in our shop, and use the bicycle blender, we need campers to follow our safety rules and listen to their instructor’s guidance. We review rules of the path in class and ask parents to review safety rules with your children at home too!
