Formerly the Vision Zero Flex Fund, Boulder is installing innovative quick-build improvements including curb extensions, traffic calming, and crossing treatments on city streets in 2020 and 2021 to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety and comfort.
The first of 12 this year has been installed on Aurora near the school at 38th, 39th, and Gilpin curb extensions to improve site lines and to slow traffic speeds via reduced turning radii and narrowing the traffic lanes.
