Community Cycles is able to do what it does because of thousands of generous used bike and part donations from the Boulder community. Your donation is a building block for our biking community, our education and outreach work, and our programs to benefit our low-income friends and neighbors.

What kind of bikes does Community Cycles accept?

All of them! We accept anything and everything bike-related, in any condition, adult bikes AND kids’ bikes.

Will you pick up my donation?

We pick up bikes on the first Monday of the month between 8:00 and 5:00, within Boulder city limits. Please leave the bike in an obvious location, or note anything special when you sign up below to let us know you’d like us to pick up your bike. You will receive a tax receipt for proof of your donation in your mailbox. There is a $10 charge per bike for this service.

When can I drop off my donation?

We are accepting donations during our open hours: 11am-6pm Thursday through Sunday so that staff may be prepared to safely handle bikes.

*North side of the building and look for the “Donations Here” rack

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, Community Cycles is a tax exempt 501(c)3 non-profit organization. You will receive a tax receipt for proof of your donation at time of drop off.

Do You Buy Bikes/Can I trade my old bike in for a new one?

However, bike donors are welcome to participate in Earn-a-Bike, or you can always purchase a great refurbished bike from our showroom.

What will happen to my bike donation?

Your bike donation will support our great mission that bicycles are affordable and sustainable transportation:

Every donation helps get more people on bikes.
