Sue joined Community Cycles as our Advocacy Director in 2008, bringing over fifteen years experience in bicycling programming and non-profit administration from her work as Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition, where she helped create one of the first bicycle infrastructures in the US. Sue has worked as a bicycle planner for engineering firms in Philadelphia and Denver, and is a strong, dedicated advocate of urban bicycle commuting.
Dax brings a strong background in retail to his position, leading our bike recycling and re-use efforts through our retail shop—also known as Bike Donation Central, yes we take anything “bike.” Dax has been with us since 2012, coming from a stint at the Center for Appropriate Transportation where he learned the art of cargo bicycle manufacturing.

Alexey spent too much time in the corporate world polishing his business skills. Now he’s free to do what he loves, creating a culture of cycling at Community Cycles. Alexey is an avid mountain biker / bike commuter who eschews the car in Boulder, but somewhat hypocritically still has a passion for a good road trip for remote multi-day outdoor adventures.
Ann has commuted by bicycle whenever possible for over 20 years, joining bicycle advocacy organizations wherever she lands. She has lived in Boulder since 2009. In addition to commute cycling, Ann enjoys road cycling and easy bike touring.
A long time bike commuter and avid urban cyclist, Sandee started out as a volunteer and Board Member at Community Cycles, becoming a staff member in 2022 with a specialty in marketing and program management.
Thomas joined Community Cycles as a Production Mechanic in August 2020 after having been a member and volunteer for several years. He liked the vibe so much as a member and volunteer that he just had to jump on the opportunity to wrench on bikes part time for CC and absolutely loves it. Road and mountain biking are his pastimes but did do a long stint doing triathlons as well. Perhaps his strongest cycling passion to date is for using a bike for anything he can around town no matter the weather and showed he was serious when he dropped his car in 2019.
My friends and I used to ride bikes everywhere as kids. I got my first real road bike in high school. I raced bikes on the road through college in Tucson, AZ. I did most of my own wrenching during that time. Much later on, I ended up in Colorado. I heard about Community Cycles and started volunteering in October of 2012. After putting in close to 1000 volunteer hours, I was brought on part time. It’s been a blast!
Love bikes and wildlife. Always looking to combine the two.
Mark started off as a volunteer at Community Cycles. He was recognized right away as someone with a knack for finding the right bike for each person who came into our shop seeking a new (to them) bike. If you see him in the shop, ask him how many bikes he's sold this year. He'll know!
