Please Take The Folsom Questionnaire By January 9th

The City needs your input on how you experience Folsom (between Pine and Colorado) and how you might like to see that experience improved, whether you use Folsom to walk, bike, scoot, and/or drive. You can take the questionnaire here:

Your voice is critically important even at this early stage in the process because it helps the City refine the design goals of the Folsom Safety Improvement project. It also helps balance the perspectives that the City will hear on this project because, as you might expect, there are already folks spreading misinformation about this project on social media. The questionnaire is relatively short, so you could probably fill it out right now and get it off your to-do list. But do please make the time to complete the questionnaire because, if you’ve ever ridden the relevant portion of Folsom, you know it could do with a lot of improvement. The bike lanes are super narrow, there are lots of curb cuts, buses can’t help but skirt the bike lane while traveling and block the bike lane entirely at stops, and on some stretches cars travel quite fast.

To be clear, this is not the design stage for this project, so you do not need to have single-handedly solved the engineering conundrum that is Folsom in order to take the questionnaire. All you need is the experience you already have with Folsom and your hopes for how that experience could be better in the future. So, please, please, please take a moment now to complete the questionnaire.

Bonus: Do you own or work at Business along Folsom that wants to see a safer corridor?  Let us know!
