Community Cycles is proud to announce the promotion of two long-time employees to Director Roles: Sandee Cirian and Alexey Davies.
Sandee joined Community Cycles seven years ago and has worked organizing the Kids’ Holiday Bike Giveaway and managing the various Ebike giveaway programs, Ebike promotion programs, bike giveaways with Boulder County Mobility for All and numerous bike collection drives each year. Sandee is also the magic behind our social media, ads, promotions, blogs and eblasts. Her new title is Director of Marketing and Programs.
Sandee said: “It is important for me to be a part of an organization that is making our community a better place to live. At Community Cycles I am making a difference by connecting with the community to encourage people to use their bicycles for transportation. The best part of my job is organizing events to give away bikes and e-bikes to kids, adults, and seniors. It is heartwarming to be a part of that.”
Alexey Davies has been with Community Cycles for thirteen years, starting first as our Membership Director and later adding Advocacy Coordinator to his duties. Alexey manages the team on all things membership and the CRM/member database. As the Advocacy Coordinator, Alexey ran the meetings of the Community Cycles Advocacy Committee (CCAC) and authored the advocacy eblasts.
In the past few years, Alexey has taken a larger leadership role in Community Cycle’s advocacy agenda- representing Community Cycles on numerous road project committees, meeting regularly with transportation staff and determining the CCAC involvement with city and county transportation projects and policy. Alexey’s new title is Advocacy and Membership Director.
Community Cycles and Boulder County bicyclists are so fortunate to have these two smart, indefatigable employees working hard to help build a bike friendly community.
