DIY Hydraulic Brake Bleeding

We are pleased to announce the addition hydraulic brake bleeding for bicycles to our DIY Shop capabilities. While there is no cost to use the DIY Shop for our Members, there is a $20 fee for materials. You’ll also have the assistance of a pro when bleeding hydraulic brakes on a bicycle.

Why Bleed Hydraulic Brakes?

Generally when they aren’t functioning as well as you’d like and you’ve ruled out dirt and worn pads (we can help you check those things too).

Hydraulic fluid breaks down due to heat and pressure. Doing this preventive maintenance step once per season will help keep your brakes in working order.

What Is the DIY Shop?

The Community Cycles’ DIY Bike Shop is a place where you can bring your bike in and work on it yourself using our bike stands and tools, along with the guidance of a professional bike mechanic.

It’s a fantastic way to add to your skills in repairing and maintaining your bicycle, save money and hang our with like minded people in a welcoming environment.
