eCargo Bike Reservation

Members (over 18 years old) can reserve an eCargo Bike to help with moving, shopping or to try out an eCargo Bike. 

NOTE: This eCargo bike is NOT equipped to carry children or passengers. 

The eCargo Bike is equipped with two Panniers plus a front & rear rack.

eCargo Bike Reservations

The electric Cargo Bike is available to Members only. Usage is available during shop hours (11:00-5:30pm) on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 

Members will be charged a deposit of $700 when the bike is checked out. That deposit will be removed at the end of the day when the bike is returned so you will not see the charge on your account unless you fail to return the bike. The bike must be returned by 5:00 pm on the day you borrow it. You cannot keep the bike overnight or you will be charged. You cannot reserve the bike multiple days in a row or more than 4 days a month. 

If you do not have a credit card, contact sue@communitycycles.org to work out another way to borrow the bike. If you need to use more than one day in a row (for instance if you are moving), also contact sue@communitcycles.org for permission, however, you will need to return the bike each day or you will be charged. The bike is never permitted out overnight.

See below instructions on how to reserve use of the eCargo Bike.

• Go to your CC portal (personal site). Email yourself the link if you don’t have it.
  • You will be asked to enter your contact information in a "Your Signup Info" box and then you will be sent the link to sign-up for the eCargo bike.
• Select Shift Calendar > Select from the calendar Member Cargo Bike> Sign up for a day that works for you.
• Please email membership@communitycycles.org if you have any questions.
• Check out the Tern video before you arrive to learn how to operate the bike.
• Please bring a helmet, ID and credit card. You will need to pay the deposit, give your driver’s license number, a cell phone number and sign a waiver.
• The bike is checked out and checked back in with the front desk staff.
