Elaine is a native of the Detroit area who moved to Colorado in the early 80s. A lifelong cyclist, she has worked on various transportation projects for the City of Boulder including the start-up of the HOP shuttle, the creation of one of the city’s first websites dedicated to alternative transportation, issuing and managing EcoPasses, and reviewing accident data involving bicycles and pedestrians. Elaine has a graduate degree in urban planning and is especially interested in county and regional transportation issues. EC, as she is known on the air, has been involved with community radio station KGNU for decades as a volunteer DJ, board member, and music director. She is currently working for Boulder Transportation Connections as their Sustainable Transportation Planner.
