Complete Mechanic Series
The Complete Mechanic Series is a six-week course designed to give you a solid foundation in bicycle mechanics. You’ll gain the skills and confidence to work on all the essential systems of your bike—including brakes, shifting, wheels, bottom brackets, and more. Whether you’re brand new to bike repair or looking to deepen your understanding, this course is open to all skill levels. It’s a hands-on, in-depth introduction to how bicycles work—and how to keep yours in top shape.
GEM: Gender Equality Mechanics
Gender Equality Mechanics provides a space and time for members of marginalized gender groups to use the DIY shop in a supportive, marginalized-genders-only space.
Work on bikes, talk about bikes, and think about bikes! It’s an informal community space to help support sharing skills and knowledge.
Learn the Basics
Interested in getting to know your bike better? These hands-on workshops cover the fundamentals every rider should know—like how to fix a flat, keep your chain clean and lubricated, and make simple adjustments to brakes and shifting.
Maintenance 101: Learn the basics of bicycle repair in this workshop. Bicycle anatomy, lubricants, tool use and basic maintenance will be covered. Learn how to do basic brake and shifting adjustments as well.
Fix a Flat: Learn the best, easiest technique for fixing a flat. Come to this workshop to learn to fix a flat like a pro. During the clinic you will receive a new patch kit and a new set of tire levers
For Women / By Women
Women’s-specific course designed to teach beginner to advanced bicycle maintenance. Learn how to change a tube, adjust brakes and shifting, or make any other adjustment that could ruin a ride. This is a two part series.
Ebike Safety and Maintenance
Introduction to eBike Safety and Maintenance is a FREE hands-on class offered through a partnership between Pedego Electric Bikes and Community Cycles.
Anyone interested in e-bike maintenance and safety is welcome at these classes, regardless of what kind of bike you have, how long you’ve had it, where you live or what your experience is.
