The city of Boulder will be installing a number of innovative quick-build improvements this spring including curb extensions, traffic calming, and intersection treatments that enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety and comfort.

Three curb extensions were installed near BCSIS/High Peaks Elementary on Aurora and on Grove street (17th/18th), at a crossing at Kings Ridge / Wonderland path, and a pedestrian island on Grinnell at Viele path.

Upcoming installations also include hardened centerlines along North/Broadway and at Baseline/Mohawk and a speed kidney on Cherry Street in the spring.

Finally, we are excited that curb extensions including crosswalks will be installed near Community Cycles’s shop, also this spring.
