Join us for A Conversation about the Future of Transportation in Colorado with Will Toor, Elise Jones, Lynn Guissinger, and Kiran Herbert. They will discuss progress, politics, policy and possibilities. Their experience and enthusiasm guarantees an inspiring conversation as we work together for more sustainable and equitable mobility. 

A passionate advocate for clean transportation, Will oversees the State of Colorado’s energy policies and programs as Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office. Will is a nationally recognized leader in clean transportation and an expert on local transportation issues, thanks to his service as Mayor of Boulder and Boulder County Commissioner.

Elise Jones is the Executive Director of the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, (SWEEP) and a long-time advocate of local, regional and state level change on land use and transportation policy. She sits on the State Air Quality Control Commission, and previously served as Boulder County Commissioner and led the Colorado Environmental Coalition (now Conservation Colorado). Lynn Guissinger chairs the RTD Board of Directors, and represents most of the northwestern portion of the RTD area. Along with Leslie Bohm, her business, Catalyst Communication, provided marketing services in the bicycle and outdoor industries, and partnered with city transportation departments around the country to market and promote their transit, biking and walking options.

Kiran Herbert is the content manager at PeopleForBikes, a national nonprofit working to get more people to ride bikes more often and to make bike riding better for everyone. She also oversees communications for the Better Bike Share Partnership, a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia, the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), and the PeopleForBikes Foundation to build equitable and replicable bike share systems. Since 2021, Kiran has served on the Sierra Club Indian Peaks Group Executive Committee, where she writes the newsletter and works on environmental issues specific to Boulder County. She’s also a member of Boulder County’s Climate Policy Action Leadership Collaborative, which addresses environmental justice in climate policy and is sponsored by Boulder County’s Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience.
