to get bikes to needy kids and families in Boulder this holiday season.

Every year in December, Community Cycles hosts a Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway.

The Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway is Community Cycles’ oldest on-going event, now in its 9th year!

It’s a community event from beginning to end. A hundred volunteers come together on the day of the event to distribute 300 – 400 bikes. That’s a whole lot of smiles!  Join our amazing volunteer team and be Santa this winter holiday season!  Current Community Cycles volunteers — sign up for shifts with your log-in.boy bike small

Bike Giveaway Date and Location:

When:  2015 Date TBD
Where: 2015 Location TBD
Throughout the year, Community Cycles takes in 100s of kids’ bikes. Each fall, dozens of volunteer mechanics donate their time to our “work nights” to get bikes ready for the December event.

Local businesses donate the venue, provide snacks and beverages for our volunteers or refreshments for the families that come to the event. Other businesses donate employee community service hours or give matching funds as part of workplace giving.

Together, we are making a difference.

Donate now to help make 2015 the best year ever.

Not only are our donors and volunteers awesome, but we have incredible support from the community.

Every child will receive a bike helmet!  Thanks to Boulder Community Hospital (now Boulder Community Health) for their sponsorship.

The Walnut Cafe and the Kirk “Rocky” Derichsweiler Foundation have been an outstanding source of support and inspiration over the years.  Visit the Walnut, a Boulder classic along with Community Cycles, and let them know you appreciate their support.
