Community Cycles has rescheduled the Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway: April 10th and April 17th 2021. The event was postponed from the traditional December dates due to COVID-19. The April dates are just in time to get 300+ kids on bikes for Boulder Valley School District’s Bike to School Day!
Registration is open to families who registered for the event in December.
Check our Facebook Event Page for possible appointment openings.
Nothing is better than seeing a kid get her first bike!…Unless it’s giving a bike to a low-income child and family.
The Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway is Community Cycles’ oldest ongoing event, now in its 13th year! Our Bike Giveaway is a community event from beginning to end. Throughout the year, Community Cycles takes in hundreds of kids’ bikes from community donations. During the fall season, volunteer mechanics donate their time preparing bikes for the December event. A hundred volunteers and staff come together on the day of the event to distribute 300+ bikes, seeking to make access to bicycles equitable throughout our community. That’s a whole lot of smiles!
