Nothing is better than seeing a kid get her first bike! …Unless it’s giving a bike to a low-income child and family.
The Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway is Community Cycles’ oldest ongoing event, now in its 15th year! Our Bike Giveaway is a community event from beginning to end. Throughout the year, Community Cycles receives used and new kids’ bikes donated by you, our Boulder/Denver community. During the fall season, volunteer mechanics donate their time preparing bikes for the December event. A hundred volunteers and staff put on this event to distribute 300+ bikes, seeking equitable access to bicycles throughout our community. That’s a whole lot of smiles!
To Receive a Bike for your Child:
A parent or guardian of each elementary school aged child (4-12 years old) must present ONE of the following on the day of the event:
- most recent report card
- a valid photo identification, like a school ID.
- passport
- birth certificate
Thank You
In addition to receiving a bike, every child will receive a fitted bike helmet provided by Boulder Community Health and Boulder Neurosurgical and Spine Associates.
