Annual Report

The Community Cycles’ Advocacy Committee just released its Annual Report “The State of Bicycling in Boulder.” The report reviews bicycle infrastructure and policy within the city of Boulder from the viewpoint of everyday bike riders.

The report includes a summary of the past year, the 2015 targeted issue: Bicycle Theft, and other topics including traffic signal priorities, a Diagonal Highway bike path, protected bike lanes, bike corrals, east-west bike ways in downtown Boulder, and amending one-way bike restrictions in neighborhoods.

More than 1000 bicycles were stolen in Boulder in 2013. Residents must be able to ride and park their bikes without fear of theft. The City should develop a comprehensive and sustained plan to reduce this problem.
