How to Leave Your Legacy with Community Cycles

You can support Community Cycles by naming us as a beneficiary on any financial account — IRAs, 401Ks, life insurance policies, donor advised funds, or any bank account.

Just request a change-of-beneficiary form from your financial institution, fill it in, and choose any percentage or dollar amount you like. It's simple, flexible, and makes a lasting difference.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

A bequest in your will is one of the most meaningful actions you can take to ensure the future of bicycling in Boulder. Your legacy gift will help us get to that bicycle future!

Add this language to your will:

"I give, devise, and bequeath to Community Cycles, a Colorado nonprofit corporation, IRS Tax ID Number 06-1719094, physical address 2601 Spruce Street, Unit B, Boulder CO 80302, $____ or ____%, for the benefit of the organization."

Qualified Charitable Distribution from Your IRA

If you're 70½ or older and have an IRA, you're required to take annual minimum distributions. If you don't need that income, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a smart, tax-friendly way to direct those funds to Community Cycles instead.

Contact your IRA custodian and ask them to send your QCD to:

We are all about the bike love and we know you are too. Many cyclists in our community leave money to Community Cycles in their will. We invite you to extend your bike legacy by leaving a gift to Community Cycles.

When you leave a gift from your will or estate, you can choose the size and restrictions on your donation. For example, you can give a residual gift that comes to us after other beneficiaries.

3 Easy Ways to Give

    1. List Community Cycles as a designated beneficiary on your 401K or other savings account. You can list us after other beneficiaries, and designate a dollar amount or a percentage of your residual estate that you’d want us to receive.
    2. Make Community Cycles a designated beneficiary on an insurance policy. You can specify an amount or percentage that comes to us after other beneficiaries such as family members.
    3. Add Community Cycles to your will with a bequest: I give, devise and bequeath to Community Cycles, a Colorado nonprofit corporation, IRS Tax ID # 06-1719094, $_____or ____ %, for the benefit of the organization.
