sandee@communitycycles.orgNews

The B360 & B180- Circle Boulder By Bike is a family-friendly cycling event that explores some of Boulder’s 300 miles of bike routes, paths, and lanes. offering two loop options: a 24-mile (B360) or 12-mile (B180) ride around the city of Boulder. The ride begins at Valmont Bike Park (3160 Airport Road, Boulder) on Sunday June 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event’s an awesome way to explore Boulder! The B360 takes you all the way around the city, while the B180 gives you a different view. The official start time is 10 a.m., but feel free to hop on the route anytime before noon—everything will be clearly marked.

Along with cruising around Boulder and soaking up the views with your fellow riders, we’ve got some tasty perks—grab a bagel from Moe’s Broadway Bagels before you hit the road, and cool off with some ice cream after the ride!

New for 2025 at the B360: Scavenger Hunt with Limited Edition Prizes

We know how much you all love riding the B360 every year, so we’re keeping it fresh with a new twist! This year, we’re adding a fun scavenger hunt to the ride. As you cruise the route, you’ll search for clues and discover cool facts about the parks and paths along the way. Grab a clue sheet at the registration tent at Valmont Bike Park to get started. Starting mid-route? No problem! Just check out Community Cycles on Facebook or Instagram at 9:00am on June 1 to get the list of clues—then track your answers on your phone or on paper. It’s a great way to explore, learn, and add a little extra adventure to your ride.

What’s the reward? The first 200 people to bring their completed scavenger hunt card to the Community Cycles tent at the post-ride expo will score a limited-edition B360 spoke card! Even better—there’s a set of 4 unique spoke cards to collect throughout Walk & Bike Month, so start your collection now!

What is a spoke card? Spoke cards are a popular cycling tradition that dates back to the 1930s. They are small cards that are attached to the spokes of a bicycle wheel and rotate when the bike is in motion. The cards were originally used as a way for cyclists to express themselves and are a fun collector’s item. Read more about the history of spoke cards.

Don’t Miss the Post-Ride Expo

This year, we’ve taken the post-ride party to the next level—it’s about more than just ice cream! Stick around after your ride to enjoy a lively celebration featuring bike-themed games, fun and challenging trivia, and the chance to hang out with local cycling organizations. Come for the ride, stay for the fun, and learn more about the vibrant cycling community!
