Colorado Gives Day is December 7th 2021

BikeNonProfitNews

Looking back on the year, we had a moment of pride reflecting on all that Community Cycles has done in 2021. With the annual Colorado Gives Day on December 7th, our goal is to raise $25,000 to keep our programs running.

What our service to our community in 2021 looked like:

  • We safely reopened the DIY bike shop and our hosting of educational bike care and repair workshops.

  • We awarded 50 electric bikes to low-income essential workers, providing vital transportation to those with difficult commutes.

  • We gave away over 500 bikes to low-income children, adults, and families- getting our neighbors necessary transportation and instilling an early love of bicycles.

  • We hosted the first-ever City Council candidate forum addressing cycling and transportation

  • We up-cycled over 1500 bikes keeping them out of the landfill and bringing them back to active use in our community.

Give where you Live Today.

With your donation, you invest in furthering our work: providing affordable bikes, expanding the education center, more DIY options, plus lobbying for better commuting infrastructure.

Here are some examples of your gift in action:

  • $50 buys a kid’s bike for our annual Kids Bike Holiday Giveaway

  • $120 refurbishes two bikes that are upcycled in our cycling shop so we can sell them affordably

  • $300 funds an in-need scholarship to our Complete Mechanic Series class

  • $500 directly supports expanding our DIY bike repair shop

  • $1000 funds class instruction: disc brakes, wheel building, etc.

  • $2500 makes you a part of the passionate group supporting Bike to Work Day

We can only do this when you are a part of our team. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation this Colorado Gives Day, Dec 7th, so we can continue putting more people on bikes!

And a huge “Thank you” for your support and passion for Community Cycles and the future of our cycling community.
