Community Cycles is pleased to announce our acceptance into a State of Colorado e-bike program that reinforces our commitment to sustainability and a healthier planet.
Community Access to Electric Bicycles Grant Program
The Community Access to Electric Bicycles Grant Program (CAEB) has selected Community Cycles to be a part of their program for 2026. This is our fourth time as a part of this grant funding to bring more electric bikes to Boulder County. That’s a total of 181 e-bikes and 50 Boulder BCycle bike share passes given to low-income folks in Boulder County.
This year’s program will focus on employees of Boulder Valley Education Association and Boulder Community Health. Bikes will be provided by Louisville Cyclery. It will meet the goals of the CAEB program to increase access to eBikes for income-qualified individuals, maximizing air quality benefits and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions. It will also close a gap in eBike access by bringing access to residents in across Boulder County.
By equipping employees with the right tools, route planning, and ongoing support, they will have long-term success. They’ll quickly discover it’s one of the most economical, convenient, and stress-free transportation options available. Over time, this experience can reshape daily habits, making e-bike commuting a natural and enjoyable choice for years to come. Just as importantly, their enthusiasm and success will serve as a powerful example. It will inspire co-workers, neighbors, family members, and friends to consider making the shift as well.

Building Momentum with E-Bikes for Cleaner Transportation
Community Cycles is proud to continue building this momentum by expanding access to e-bikes and empowering more people to choose sustainable transportation. Through this program, we are helping to create healthier communities, stronger connections, and lasting environmental impact. Each trip represents a meaningful step toward a future where equitable, low-carbon transportation is the norm—not the exception.
