Here’s what some sponsors have to say about why they support and value Walk and Bike Month:

In 2018, Google announced that we had reached our goal of having 100% renewable energy for our global operations — including both our data centers and offices. Supporting Walk and Bike Month, and reducing the number of cars on our roads, is an extension of this commitment that sits at the heart of our company culture and the Boulder community. It helps both us and our users reduce our impact on the environment while at the same time increasing the quality of life in our communities.

Colorado Athletic Club is proud to support Walk and Bike Month for another year, and nothing thrills us more than serving our community in the spirit of health and wellness. Can you name a city that embraces biking more than Boulder? With over 300 miles of dedicated bikeways, we can’t. Colorado Athletic Club is honored to play a role in maintaining this lifestyle. Pedal on, Boulder!

Elevations Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union that believes in providing our members with solutions for a better life. A big part of that is helping our local community through events like Walk & Bike Month.

Now in its 42nd year, Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, presented by GO Boulder, is one of the oldest and largest events of its kind in the nation. What began as a one-day event in 1977 has grown to a month-long celebration. Last year, more than 5,000 people registered for Bike to Work Day alone, and organizers expect an even larger turnout this year for Walk and Bike Month’s main event, which will be held on Wednesday, June 27. Boulder usually has over 60 breakfast stations run by local businesses on Bike to Work Day from 6:30 – 9 am.

Walk & Bike Month 2018 includes a diverse list of events and activities for kids, seniors and families. For a complete list of events or to register for Bike to Work Day, go to www.walkandbikemonth.org. For more information, contact Sue Prant at 303-564-9681 or sue@communitycycles.org.
